John Keith
Consultant
John Keith is an environmental engineer and consultant with over 45 years of experience in industry, government and NGOs. He has travelled throughout the world, studying and working on environmental problems. His work includes directing many contamination remediation projects, notably related to lead, VOCs and pesticides; assessing water and air pollution problems in various settings; and designing and constructing several landfills and wastewater treatment plants. Before working in the NGO world in 2010, John was VP of Environment and Safety for Pfizer, Assistant Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and an environmental manager for several pharmaceutical and chemical companies. In the 1990s, he also served as mayor of Fair Lawn, NJ. John has presented papers and lectures on toxic contamination and global environmental issues at numerous universities and conferences. John holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, a master's in Environmental Engineering from the NJ Institute of Technology, and a Harvard Business School Executive Leadership Program graduate.
