Environmental Consultant/Mercosur Region
Gaspar Corra is a chemist graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) with extensive experience in environmental consulting. He has worked with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector, providing expertise on environmental impact assessments, pollution reduction strategies, and the adoption of clean technologies.
Gaspar specializes in waste management, including hazardous materials like heavy metals. As a co-author of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership’s report "Mercury from Oil and Gas," Gaspar has played a key role in international efforts to address mercury pollution in the energy sector. Gaspar has participated in regional projects on the management of used lead-acid batteries (ULABs) in the Mercosur region, collaborating with international organizations such as the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP).
In addition to his consulting work, Gaspar is an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA), where he combines his technical expertise with a passion for education and capacity building.
