Gahp position on a Draft Resolution for a Science-policy panel to Support action on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution

Held virtually and on-site in Nairobi, Kenya, the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-5) was an opportunity for Member States to discuss matters related to the agenda.

Pure Earth and the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) are pleased to confirm our overall support to this resolution. We are particularly pleased by the wide scope proposed by the drafters, which goes beyond the traditional concerns relating to chemicals and waste to include pollution, thus including the whole of what UNEP defines as the third planetary crisis alongside climate change and biodiversity loss.
