Webinar: Lessons from The “Reducing Health and Environmental Impacts of Pesticides and Agricultural Open Burning in Vietnam” Project

• Dr. Petr Sharov, Regional Coordinator - Presentation on project results, impact, challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities for replication.

• Dr. Rovshan Abbasov, Project Coordinator - Insights on the scalability of the project through replication reports by the researcher.

• Prof. Francis Pope, Atmospheric Science from Birmingham University  - Discussing a multi-disciplinary approach to tackling air pollution in Nairobi, Kampala, and Addis Ababa study cities.

The primary objectives of the workshop are to discuss the impact and outcomes of the current project in reducing health and environmental risks associated with pesticide use and open burning in Vietnam, and to explore the feasibility of replicating these successful strategies in other countries.

The project was developed and implemented by the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) with funding from the UK government’s International Development program.
