GAHP Joined Global Leaders in Signing Geneva Pledge for Inclusive Climate Action

On November 7th, GAHP Executive Director Maria Paola Lia publicly signed the Geneva Pledge for Gender-Responsive Climate Action at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. This initiative, part of the International Gender Champions network, underscores the critical role of inclusive climate strategies in achieving sustainable development goals.

By signing the pledge, GAHP reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender equality and ensuring that climate action is both inclusive and equitable. The pledge outlines key measures to guide this approach, including:

  • Embedding gender considerations into climate-related decision-making processes.

  • Promoting women's leadership and participation in climate action.

  • Addressing gender-specific vulnerabilities in climate policies.

This commitment aligns closely with GAHP's mission to improve health by addressing pollution while fostering equity and inclusion in its environmental initiatives. By integrating these principles into climate strategies, GAHP strengthens its efforts to protect vulnerable communities and promote sustainable development.

Through this pledge, GAHP joins a global network of leaders dedicated to ensuring that climate solutions reflect diverse perspectives and leave no one behind. This milestone highlights GAHP’s ongoing resolve to build a healthier, more equitable future for all.
